    Vintage Macro shots..

i've been trying a new macro setup ..

camera is an EOS 300D, and the macro is an old Canon 50mm prime (1:1.8SC),
mounted with a reverse macro adapter, and a macro ring kit (all of these
obtained pretty cheaply from *bay) ..
then there's an el cheapo flash, hotshoe-sync adapter, and a short cable..

tested on my accutron .. a bit overexposed & no depth of field
but not bad for a first try, don't you think?

    comments welcome!

(it's a shame the accutron isn't the most interesting movement to take photos of, but I happened to be wearing it - i'll try to take photos of something better next weekend ...)

Yes, you are right. Not bad for the first try......
For sure, I´m kidding, GREAT SHOT !

Although I don´t like non mechanical watches very much, this one is a fine project for macro shots.

an accutron is still mechanical, just not clockwork (and the whole powertrain is the wrong wayround too...) proper' mechanical watches do have nicerlooking mechanisms though.
