Vintage Memovox 815 - Would like your expert opinion

I'm considering purchasing this vintage JLC Memovox 815 with matching dials. Dealer says it's 100% authentic. He's not been able to pinpoint the year, but suggests it's a model between 1956 and 1966. I'd love this forums thoughts on authenticity and value.

We don't give valuations here- but we can give opinions on whether a price is a rip-off or not.
The lume on the hands and the dial did not really age consistently- I suppose, that the hands might have been relumed at some point.
A larger picture of the dial would help. Pictures of the movement, the crowns, and the case back will be necessary- without that, an opinion as to authenticity will be superficial at best. With Memovoxes not exactly being cheap, a guess as to the authenticity of the watch is not enough, methinks.

I think the JLC case reference number on this is E855. I think these were produced from about 1960-1970 or so. Most had a date feature, this one does not.

I agree that the hands have likely been re-lumed and/or may not be correct.

I like the aging on the outer portion of the dial. That looks original to me. There should be "Swiss" somewhere at the bottom of dial. The crowns should be signed "JL".

There is no way I can say any more without pictures of the sides, back or movement.

    Hope this helps,

Looks good to me, except the crowns and relumed hands.
