    vintage omega

    hello everybody. i have this omega that i dont know anything about. any information ie model, year, current value etc would be much appreciated. please help!

    Early 70s Omega tuning fork electric. Movement similar to Bulova accutron (and licensed from Bulova as well). Values are increasing. 2yrs ago they were $100-$200. Now they are double that for ordinary models and much more for nice and less common examples. Yours is the entry model Geneva for these 'hummers' but its still a very nice chronometer grade gold capped Omega . Take it and have a battery installed and see if it works

    And if it does not, you have a problem. Expensive to fix.

    But, imho, if you like the watch, it is worth fixing up.

    thanks for the replies guys. works fine ive checked it. thinking of changing the braclet though, its pretty worn

    agree-lose the bracelet. try a nice leather. I have a SS version of this an original mesh but you may have to pay well over $100 to source an omega mesh bracelet in gp
