    Vintage Omega buying

Found vintage Omega (see link below) however I have no idea as to it's authenticity as it lacks a case number on the case back and a very basic dial which I would expect of a watch from that time. Anyway any input would be appreciated... Thanks

    Regards,

    Mark

It has an Omega movement but the question is whether this belongs to the case. My inclination is that is does along with the dial either being original or a very old re-dial. Here is a gold cased version of what seems to be the same model - https://www.poshtime.com/495.081/Ome...265-c.1949.php

Yeah, my usual routine for verifying authenticity is finding the movement and cross referncing it with the serial number to check if the movment was made in the same year and then I check the movement with the case to see if it is right but I obviously couldn't do it with this one. I did see that same watch i think when I searched up watches with the movement as the ebay one. What do you think about the price, is it worth it? I'm also not overally familiar with stuff in terms of the dial but i'm not too fussy as signs of age kinda add to te vintage feel in my opinion... Thanks

Why does the case-back say "stainless steel" instead of "stainless steel back", since the case is gold-plated?

I am suspiscious about this one, check chrono 24, you will find much better quality timepieces than the ones for sale ebay. Sure the budget sisn't the same but great quality omegas don't come cheap

Sadly my budget isn't all that high. The maximum I can pay really is about 500 AUD (excluding shipping) which is about 379 USD I think.
