Vintage Omega Chronometre estimated 1945 help identifying!!!!

    Good day,
I just got this watch for a "good price, and did it on basic instint" and after looking at similar watches in google, nevertheless i could not find one like this, i have seen similar but not the same, I can see it´s a 18 K gold watch, and manual wind, there is a diferent way of the bracelelet holders that go "kind of a claws over the main case" instead of regulat ones, also they are not on a paralel angle, but rather on a open angle, the watch is 35 mm diameter case engraved is chassis nº (I belive) and the number 141 also 18K /0.750 (there are very small litle nrºs they I have no idea what are they", and I wonder what it is before i send it to a professional to restore. Thank you all in advance for all your input.

    Kind regards

    Paulo

    Congratulations!

What you have there is one of my personal "grail" watches. Which means something that I would always want, but is so rare, that it's extremely difficult to find. The watch dates from the very early 1940's, right in the middle of WWII. Omega made a number of similar case styles, but they only engraved the case serial number inside, not the reference number. The closest match I could find would be the Ref. 2365, which has a 33mm diameter case, the same Cal. 30 T2 RG SC movement and was made around the same time period.

Here is a similar watch in steel with the same dial as yours:

I think your dial is totally original and urge you to just replace the crystal, hopefully with the correct Omega replacement.

You purchased a very special watch.
