    Vintage Omega Evaluation

I have the opportunity to purchase this watch close to melt value. Does it look authentic and original? I don't have the caseback photo but it says 18k .750 on the caseback. Thank you!

I'm no omega expert, but I would say the dial is likely refinished. The script looks a bit funky.

The dial looks really bad, maybe missing markers, etc. Also, some of those were 18K plated, so make sure you know the marks!

I don't think it is solid gold. I have never seen that green mung aound the edge of the back on a solid gold watch. I have only seen it on a gold filled/plated watch

It looks like gold to me and that might be helvitia 18k mark at 4:00 on the inner case but hard to tell with how much gunk there is.

Definite redial. The movement looks a bit rough to me. Can't comment on if it's sold gold.

Could be a SA case and green gunk is on the brass movement ring in order to fit into larger case.
