    Vintage Omega's Help please

Hello, I normally hang out in the "Affordable" forum but over the weekend I got one of my dream watches...an Omega Seamaster although not quite as new as I'd like :) My grandfather owned both of these and they finally made their way to me after several other family members shuffled them from house to house. I don't really know much about them other than the stainless one is a manual wind and the gold one is an auto, not sure of their age but i'd guess around the 1950's or so?? They both still work fine although they have only been running since Saturday. Would any of you know anything about these? I would love to find out more about them and if it is worth considering a restoration especially on the stainless one.... Thanks for your time, Cam.

I'm not an Omega expert but I'd say they are from the 1960s. Maybe you'll get a better answer over in the Omega forum. The Seamaster looks like it may have some rust damage unfortunately.

The Seamaster 30 is from around 1960 and the Genéve is from around 1973.

If you can open the cases on the watches, note the case reference number and check it against the Omega vintage database on this site

    http://www.omegawatches.com/cu_vintage/

or post the case reference numbers and someone can look them up for you.

This being said, the dating given by JimH looks pretty accurate.
