    Vintage Pierpont Automatic

    Hello,
I just want to show fresh reason of my happines :)
Pierpont 17 jewels Bidynator automatic - probably Felsa 415 Bidynator? (in place where should be Felsa's nr is EOE). It is quite small (mid size).

    Good reason.

In fact a Felsa 415, not probably. This first version of the Bidynator from 1942 was only signed under the dial. Pierpont bought likely a batch from another manufacturer, and milled away the wrong import code, and replaced it correctly by EOE.

Pierpont was surely no famous brand, but all I've ever seen was of good quality. Small companies often exchanged over stocks and still do it. Most of them simply kept the (wrong) signatures, while Pierpont here corrected the wrong jewel number and the wrong import code before applying their own signatures. For my oppinion such dedails don't detract from such item, may be even makes it more attractive.
