    Vintage pocket....what movement?

    Hi all

I got these photo´s on mail just now.
    Nice pocket watch.

But, what movement is it? I am right to say cylinder movement? From photos I find it looks so to me

    Anyone know the maker?

    Thanks for looking

    Cheers

Yep. It says so. 4 jewel cylinder. According to my sources itś a Lepine style popular 1820 to 1840.

    Hi

Thank you for the reply and information

How was they, ,when they was made? Good?
Today? Easy or hard to repair and keep running?

A unmarked movement/case/watch is stil a good pocket watch.

The watch is my watch, maybe it will be, but a friend did se it and send me the photo´s of it.

    Cheers

In its day it was a very ordinary watch, not high grade. Your friend might find it difficult to find a watchmaker in this day and age willing to service the watch and servicing might cost more than the watch is worth.
