Vintage SEIKO DREAM FIND - unbelievable NOS 60ies watches

I was lucky enough to find an awesome batch of NOS Seikos from the 60ies. I bought them from an old lady in the Brussels region, her father was a big seller of Seiko's in the sixties/seventies.

You can read the entire story (in Dutch) on the Dutch watch forum: http://www.horlogeforum.nl/t/een-van...9?u=septentrio
There is also a topic on the SCWF forum (in English): http://www.thewatchsite.com/21-japan...e-got-see.html

    Here are some pictures:

Vintage SEIKO DREAM FIND - unbelievable NOS 60ies watches

I wrote a piece/took some pictures of the two world time models

Ok, let's get started with the first watch; the 6117-6010 with silver dial from March 1969.

This model, the World Time GMT automatic, has a dial in linen look, rhodium baton markers with tritium on 12, 6 and 9. The lume is intact and works fine.

The caliber is a 6117B introduced in 68, in essence a 6105 caliber with added GMT function. The caliber was used in the Navigator Timer models but also in the second generation World Timers, replacing the 6217A movement in the first generation models.

The internal bezel can be used to track the time in the second time zone. The red GMT hand goes around the dial once in 24h, and the internal bezel kan be rotated by twisting the crown (works fine).

It's easy to see if its day or night in the second time zone - black is night, blue is day.

REMARKABLE 1: This one, just like many world timers produced between 68 and 74, has the error on the dial. If you look closely, you can see that London and GMT are not mentioned together.

REMARKABLE 2: The red quality check sticker is still on the caseback "passed JWCII".

Okay, the last photos for the moment, of the dark grey dial 6117-6010.

The dark grey dialed 6117-6010 has no linen structure dial, but rather a subtle dark grey sunburst. Here, london and GMT are also not on the same spot, so this one also has the error dial! You have to look closely, the blue on the inner bezel is not that clear.

Other than that, this watch is identical to the silver dial, so everything has already been said. This one does not have the quality check sticker on the caseback; only some glue residue visible of the sticker.
I also took some family snapshots. Enjoy!
