    Vintage South Bend 411

Just got a South Bend grade 411 model 1. Winds up and runs well, but I do not know how to set it. Any information or a resource would be appreciated.

If it's like my Studebaker watch, and it likely is, I just found out today that mine's a lever set watch. I have to unscrew the crystal and at the 1 o'clock position, you'll see a notch in the case, next to the dial. There is a thin blade there to tease out with a long fingernail or such and pulling that lever away from the dial allows you to set the hands.

Thanks everyone. I finally figured it out. It is a stem wind watch, but it was so sticky at first that I didn't want to force it and cause a problem. Not the prettiest or fanciest watch, but still..

    Here are couple of pictures.

I like the back of that watch, very much.
