    Vintage Ticin chronograph

Around 5 years ago I decided I "needed" a vintage chronograph in my collection I looked around at various styles and my preference was set on a gold coloured 1950's style chrono with rectangular pushers. It had to be clean enough to wear and in working condition, oh, and not too big (34-38mm)

I set a budget of £100 and bid on a few but lost every one
I upped the budget to £150 and the same thing happened.
I decided I would need to go to £200 to have any chance and I was looking around and had 3 or 4 in my watch list.

Anyway, to cut a long story short I managed to get this one the other day, for less than my original budget and to say I'm pleased is puting it mildly

It has a very clean Landeron 149 running 30-60sec fast per day, which I'm quite happy with.

Does anyone know anything about the Ticin name as I can't seem to find any references to it?

Just found a wee bit of information, apparently Ticin were an Italian importer of Rado watches.

    Hi!

That´s right, Ticin had been importer of Rado in Italy and there are models like the Captain Cook MkI or the Ticin with their name on dial and/or movement.
I´m sure this is a mid 1950s Rado chronograph with the typical Landeron caliber, labeled as Ticin. Find some pics for compare here.

Thanks for the link Mike , I like to know something about the history of all my watches and not knowing anything about this one was annoying me.
