A few days back I was searching my local classifieds and came across a Ulysse Nardin Acqua 24H. Initially thought it to be a fake but thanks to help from this forum I got to know that it was genuine. Had a chat with the seller, agreed the price, made the payment and received the watch.
Though the watch is from the eighties but is in quite good condition with very little scratches which can be removed with a bit of polishing. All the pushers work flawless. The crown is original. The movement in person looks quite amazing and pictures don't do justice. The combination of gold markers, cream colored dial and stainless steel body is marvelous. The watch keeps good time. The movement is modified ETA 2892-2 and its Model number is 254-24. Since the watch is from the eighties alas the strap did not survive. The buckle/ clasp also didn't survive. A couple of issues which I observed is that the crown doesn't screw in. Second, the date hand is missaligned. Perhaps a visit to the watch maker would sorry them out. My apologies for the usual bad pics
