Vintage Ulysse Nardin - real or fake?

Hi, I am hoping you could help me to verify whether the watch is authentic or not. I understand that photographs themselves do not prove anything, but I just want to get a basic idea. The watch is claimed to be a Ulysse Nardin Valjoux 22 (17 jewels) movement from 1930s. Dimensions: Case diameter-36 mm, thickness 12 mm and lug to lug 45 mm. Dial was apparently restored recently.

    Below are few photos

    Thanks!

The movement is indeed a Valjoux 22. I know UN used Valjoux- here's a Valjoux 88 signed by UN in the Ranfft movement archive:

And here's a Valjoux 22, just like in the watch you've posted:

The finish of the movement seems a bit...low. I couldn't find any sources for UN serial numbers by year. So, that's as much as I can say of this one.

Looks real to me. However, I am missing the logo (anchor) on the crown.
    Kind regards

Ulysse Nardin's identification is via the movement number... not the case number. UN was one of the first companies to hit trouble after the war and they lurched from one crisis to another until the company was sold in the 80s. The company appears to have had several 'price points' and the quality of their watches is a testament to this. There are many anomalies re South America as UN were assembled there under licence.
Lets say this watch is real.... The dial looks to have to have been refinished, the case is plated, and the movement is poorly finished.... the decision is easy!!!

I am almost certain that the dial has been refinished-which really means the dial could have been from any brand and simply re-branded UN. Overall-the whole package looks pieced together which is just my 2cents worth.
