Vintage Vacheron & Constantin Ladies Model 7228

I have been trying to find out more information on my watch. I believe this is a 18kt Ladies watch, matching band and face but I cannot find much information on it. The face has Vacheron & Constantin Geneva, top half, Tiffany & Co above the 5/6/7 area and Swiss under the 6 on the front, the latch has Swiss, a symbol, 750, 7228, the back of the watch has 504699 and another stamp I cannot read under the serial number. It currently does not run and I am afraid to take it to someone that is not authorized to work on it and I'm nervous about shipping it to someone to clean. If someone could help me or direct me to a site that would give me more information and/or history I would greatly appreciate it.

    Hi and welcome
Well if its genuine its a very nice piece. But I have some doubts!
Gold VC + Tiffany name makes it a bit more special.

One would need to see movement photos to determine if it is genuine or not, a decent local jeweler should be able to open it and confirm.
If it is not gold (14kt/18kt) then I suspect it is a fake

I think the OP's mention of a '750' mark would imply 18Kt gold?

I will try to get the back off and post pictures. This piece has been in our family for at least 30 years, I do not know where my Dad got it but I know he did not buy it from a dealer and my Mother thought it was to fancy and never wore it, I don't think they ever really paid attention to the name.

    Its 100% right to me
You have an 18kt gold Vacheron and Constantin ladies watch retailed by Tiffany.

    Very nice indeed

The picture you posted is for a Ref. 6898, as shown on the caseback, with caliber 1003 ultra-flat movement. Should measure 24mm across and 5mm thick. Nice piece, not much in fashion with the ladies today but I hope that turns around.

Sorry for the confusion, the watch band is stamped 7228 but the inside of the watch does say 6898 so I'm not sure why it has two different numbers unless 7228 is the band ref and the 6898 only pertains to the watch.
