Vintage Zenith Pocket Watch - anyone know anything about this

Hi there, my friend found this pocket watch in his now late grandfathers storage bin. I am wondering if anyone knows much

about this pocket watch. It has a box with it, a chain and a matching knife.

    Any help is much appreciated.

It looks like something from the 20's or 30's based on the design. Pics of the insides would be helpful. At the posts at the top of the forum are a number of articles you might find generally relevant.

Zenith are very good watches. There is a table of serial numbers here https://forums.watchuseek.com/f295/ze...rs-516540.html which would help to date it fairly accurately. The serial number is probably on the movement.

Yep, it's time to open it up. The decorated hexagonal case with the engraved dial centre is typical of the period. But of course the outside is only the decoration, we want to see the engine that drives it! Then too it might tell us more about the case - what it is made of, who made it and perhaps when.
