    Wakmann 24-hour wristwatch

Hi guys. I have this Wakmann 24 hour military watch that I'm seeking a bit more info on. I've never opened the case back but I know it's an automatic. I can't hear the rotor when winding but I'm sure it's an auto; shook it gently after the mainspring was depleted and it started to run. This was my great-grandfather's watch. I'm not sure if I have the story behind it correct but I believe he wore it when he served in WWII. Here are some pictures, any info is greatly appreciated!

    Hey,
I'm afraid that the story with the WW2 is quite impossible - this company was registered in 1945 so probably just after the WW2 ->Mikrolisk - was Feines für die Tasche... - Das Informationsportal rund um die Taschenuhr! . It's a nice piece - 24hr watch. This watch looks to me to from early 50'. There is a web dedicated to 24hr watches - Wakmann is also there.

That is really unusual! Don't think it can be called a military watch, however, with those non-luminous numerals. Very dressy IMHO
