    Waltham?

Mailman dropped off some watches today that I picked up off Ebay last week. Was a former watchmaker's stash and there are some interesting watches. One is a Waltham Chronometer that unfortunately is missing the bezel and the crown. It has a Sandoz movement and I think it is an FHF 905 which surprised me. The back case still had the sticker tape on it and the dial is perfect but somehow it is lacking a bezel. If anyone happens to have a Waltham case in a parts watch with a bezel that would fit I will gladly buy it.

The lot had some other interesting watches and all in okay shape with a couple missing second hands. One doesn't have a brand on the dial but it has a Duwards ETA 2452 movement and with a new crystal looks pretty good. There is a Certina with a KF324 movement, Doxa with bumper 8 3/4 1250, Gruen with a bumper 462SS, Hamilton, ETA 1081 and a Bulova 6/0B.

I didn't have time to look online today but that appears to be it. I just found what I think is the same watch that thoth had for sale on WUS a few years ago. I hope he doesn't mind my linking his listing which has great pics of what it should look like as does the one you just posted.

Now it makes sense! How the crystal should look like under the bezel. Good luck finding it :D

Needle in a haystack indeed. It appears a previous owner just put a full round crystal in and wore it without the bezel after looking at the crystal on thoth's.

Do you happen to what the connection was between Sandoz and Waltham? Was it common for Waltham to use Sandoz?
