Well, it has been atleast 24 hours since my last Borgel thread......

    Todays Borgel fix!

This was actually my first Borgel.... had it a few months, but arrived in a state! I also paid far too much for it... you live and learn!

The sellers pics sum it up....

The Movement, is a 13''' Adolf Schild... and cased in a 1916 Borgel case.

After some time... and 'some' money...and some great work by my watch guy, its now looking like a beaut... imho

and just one on the wrist.....

    Hi Mike,

You are correct.... it is a 137 Cal.... Mine does not carry any such mark under the dial though!

I had ID'd it from info on David's site, Re: Movements:

    VintageWatchStraps.com - Movements

Info on AS, taken from the page:

The firm of A. Schild & Cie was founded in 1896 by Adolph Schild and Stefan Zimmermann. Their intention was to make complete ébauches for quality watches with all parts interchangeable. In 1925 A. Schild was one of the 23 ébauche makers who grouped together to form an organisation which became Ébauches SA.
Adolph Schild was the younger brother of Urs Schild who founded Eterna in 1856.
