West End Watch Co. Secondus Trench Watch.. Legit?

    Hey fellas,

Just came across this.. not too interested in buying it but do you guys think this is legit? I've asked for a movement picture as there is none.. and the strap is god awful.. otherwise it looks okay? I'm not sure about the stem tube it seems a bit long.. but being a Hunter case is kind of appealing.

Let me know what you guys think!

There seems to be a few of these coming out of Thailand.. infact here is one, identical to the other.

The other however is in the US.. but probably bought in Thailand by the looks of it.

    'legit'

I dont think it left the factory like that.... if thats what you are asking?

    Either a pocket watch conversion...

    Or

    Franken/pocket watch combi!

.... im going for Franken! Would be interesting to hear if the case is signed west end anywhere....

    Could be wrong though!

I just saw it and with having "watch"ed all the trench watch auctions the last couple of weeks i found it very odd to be so close to finishing, with a cheap buy it now and a cheaper starting price and yet no bids on it. The dial looks nice, however i'm thinking its a redial.. they lady selling it said she'd put up some movement pics before it ends.

I still think something fishy is up.

This is why i like Borgel, Dennison ect. I doubt there'd be any fakes of them around especially with blank dials..

I always thought of the ones with sub seconds at 9 as being pocket watch conversions. Or can you get pocket watches with sub seconds at 3? So that a rotated dial would work?

Removed bow makes sense as to why that stem tube is so long too.

I think if you have to ask for a movement and hallmark pic because they aren't there originally, I would think thrice......S
