This is a pocket watch from the imperial Russia of the brand Telephone. I know very little about it apart from it being solid silver case. I would appreciate anything you can tell me about it, and the brand itself. For instance, how old is it?
It is a quite impressive piece measuring 58 mm across.
This the front with some sort of hunter motive or a family weapon.
This is the back. Overlaying circles makes for an interesting optical effect.
We open the front lid and find the dial. Interestingly the dial is signed in English. I love the hands.
The inside of the front lid. Here is the Telephone logo, but this time in Cyrillic. We also see two silver stamps and a serial number.
At first I though that the inside of the back lid was identical to the front, but then I discovered that this time the logo is written in English!
This is the second lid that covers the movement.
Finally we get to the movement. I would love to know more about it - could it be George Favre-Jacot?
