    What did I buy? Bulova accutron 218

    Anyone seen one of these before..any info, comments. Such a strange dial.

    Well, obviously you bought an Accutron with a 218D movement. Probably from the 70's, because nothing says 70's like wood grain paneling. Get yourself a Chevy Caprice to go with it!

    The date code on the caseback will date the watch. M7 for example would be 1967. N2 would be 1972...

    Congrats on your bulova or should we call it your woody watch. It would look good wearing it whilst driving a vintage car with matching wood.

    Nice Bulova Woody. Thanks for sharing, myself I would change the strap. But that's a personal thing.

    I forget where I saw it, but someone on this forum or another posted one of those with the original woodgrain strap. Very striking! Not my taste in watches, but really an excellent bit of history!

    Google 'Bulova Accutron Woody', and select images. You'll see what I mean!
