What do you think about this trench?

Antique WW 1 Sterling Silver Mens Rolex Trench Watch Hallmarked Working | eBay I came across this in the bay. Is it a Rolex? Is it a Rebberg movement? Did Rolex use other movement suppliers during this period?

Just ask the seller were he see a connection to rolex. I can't follow him in any way but I'm not a expert.

    1. The aegler movements I know are differend
    2. As far as I know for smal watches = for the wrist Rolex just use Aegler in this aera
    3. I've can't recognize/identify any aegler or Rolex marks on the case
    4. Usually if aegler produce for W&D Rolex is marked on the movement
not sightable but aegler also marks his movements beyond the dial as far as I've seen movements on the bay or in theads
    5. An Aegler is not automatically a rolex in this aera. For myself its quite the same but all the rolex collectors think differend and therefore 5 letters make a big difference in the prize. Therefore I might be wrong .

Here I don't see the five letters or any assoziation to aegler. I'm interested what the seller answer to you. It might be funny or shame on me and I'm totally wrong.

    Kind regards Silke

    Addition:
A little over here well known bird whispered in my ear :
Early Rolex did use use movements from BEGUELIN et Cie Damas in early Marconi and Unicorn pieces.

This also don't match with this watch

    My question to the seller:

How have you established that this is a vintage Rolex watch?

    Seller's reply:

    Hello:
This watch was researched and another was found to match it with.

    Thanks for your interest!!!!

And the other one was deemed by someone to be a Rolex - so, applying the laws of logic, this one must be too! I wouldn't be surprised that the other one was cross referenced to this one, then!
