    Question What kind of case is this Omega???

    The seller of this vintage Constellation claims the bezel is solid 14K gold and the caseback is S/S. However, I notice the backs of the lugs are also S/S. So what is this case really made of?

    Yes, it is much thicker than gold plate or filled.

    The caption says it's solid gold. However the case letters "BA" are different from the "CD" for this watch. Unfortunately, the lettering key on page 23 does not show a "CD."

    Omega changed the metal codes over the years. Even Desmond doesn't know them all.
