What was your longest run and hardest catch?

We all desire some models or have dreamed of some nice vintage timepieces, sometimes they surface very seldom and once you miss it, it becomes an obsession to see it again for sale.

In regards of vintage watches, what did you desire a fair long time and got finally?

Mine was this first Glycine Eugene Meylan Automatic from 1931, took me 5 months to find it again:

I know we never stop and will have another most desired watch, so what was and is yours?

It took me about 5 years to find a nice, unmolested and well preserved Laco B-uhr with the A-dial and original strap, at a good rice. Found it 3 months ago.

That Glycine is a great looking piece. I can see how it got stuck in your head. So far I am chasing and not catching...

Wow Janne, 5 years, thats quiet a lot. Actually you right untouched pieces are becoming more and more rare.

Yep Paleotime, i thought its not normal what I am doing everyday to go through all international and local bay sites. There are some similar later issues of this bumper which surface also, you might run into them in round cases.

Mine would be an omega which I use to look at in the shops about 15 years ago. I was not bothered which Omega, years passed and finally wanted a handwind watch and the omega popped into my mind, so a look on ebay and found a 60s seamaster. Not the best of dials but I loved it and was hooked so next was the SMP co-axial and lusted other the speedy and 1 yr after the SMP the speedy pro was mine.

A few I've actively sought out:

Movado "DataChron"; El Primero movement (has original bracelet). Took a while to find one in this condition:

SS "Concealed Crown", dome dial Omega Constellation, cross hair dial cal. 561 movement:

    GP Alarm-don't see too many:
