What's up with this chronograph? Rego Sports

I found one of these watches for $2 missing second hand and the minute/hour hands are mangled completely. The picture below is not mine but it is the same watch. I was wondering what would the date be on something like this? Also it is marked T Swiss Made.... does the T stand for tritium?

I think we have seen these before, and it has a cheap 1 jewel pin lever movement like this one:

1960s I guess. "T" stands for tritium, yes. Does it run?

It does run but the hands are bent horribly and are hitting each other preventing them from moving further. I really don't know if this is worth getting fixed up or just scrapping for parts. And yes it is a cheap 1 jewel movement! I was bummed out when I found out about the movement but oh well it was 2 bucks

My first question when I read this was what parts you think will have value. /jk

For me, it would not be worth the time and effort to fix up. You can find a better project to put your energy into. On the other hand, if your watchmaker has a box full of watch hands that he can fit very cheaply, maybe you can get it running and wear it for fun. But don't put much into it.

Exactly my thoughts, I will let him look at it and if he has the parts on hand great if not, 2 bucks lost and I will just give it to him for whatever he may use it for!
