    Who made this Swiss movement?

I was referred to this forum. Can anyone tell me who made this Swiss movement or can tell me anything about it? It has a date of Jan 1894 on it an a serial number. It runs fine and keeps good time. I was told the case is sterling silver. Thanks.

Thank you eri231. The case appears to be a hi grade of silver like sterling or maybe coin. Has serial numbers but nothing else. This watch runs fine and the case is in wonderful condition. I have another one that is larger and is either a vacheron or lecoultre but is unmarked. It is missing its winding crown that has a square hole of about 1.3mm diameter. It too runs fine and cased in hi grade silver. Again, thanks.

Another intersesting point is the Patent Jan 27.1874. 1874 you can't issued a swiss patent because they start several years later in November 1888. Therefore it mußt be an US or English Patent. Unfortunately I've no idea how to find such an old one. Anyone else ???

It is possible to find US patents from 1790 on, but neither a search by date nor applicant's name didn't show up anything, that would be anyhow related to this watch. So I assume it's more likely to be a British patent.

I'm sorry but the date is 1894....not 1874.
