Try entering information from your watch on this site. The remaining links give some background in the Ellery model. It would appear that the case, dial and movement were combined at some point. Possibly the movement was cased by the firm on the dial. Or the parts were just married by a jeweler.

I can't read the serial number, but you have an 1857 model Waltham. The oversprung dates it to-I think-1870 or later. The serial number can tell you a lot more closely.

With that dial, I would be very strongly suspicious of it being an English export model. If it is, I would expect an English made sterling case(look for hallmarks inside the back lid). The hallmark can generally provide a more exact date than the commonly-used serial number to date tables. This is probably also in the range where you can also check the hand-written ledgers and get a finish date on it.

Hi thanks for your valuable information , I think you are correct about English export , it has an Italian maker on dial based in Bradford England & inside hall marked silver case is a signature of jeweller in peterborough England

The Fattorini & Sons name is common on English export Walthams.

The double sunk dial is also an interesting feature, but(in my experience) typical for Fattorini marked watches.
