Is it worth it to replace this ?custom? case with original Omega case

I found this listing on eBay and seller says it?s a repainted dial with a custom case from Cambodia. Is it worth it to buy a original Omega case to bring it back to original form? What do you guys think?

Please don't buy this watch with the thought of making something "original" out of it. That's a laughable idea, since there is almost nothing left to it. In my opinion, the only reason to buy it would be if you needed some parts from the movement.

I thought the style was nice, which was why I was looking at it. Im looking for my first vintage which I can use as a daily wearer. Is the repainted dial done badly? I wouldn?t mind just putting a strap on it and wearing it if the price was right.

I doubt the case is "custom made". It looks like a legit omega case. It is possible that only the dial is repainted

Buy and wear it if You like it but keep in mind it is a fantasy watch

    Corrected that for you.

Can we do strikethrough on this forum? I've tried [-], [s] and pasting strikethrough text. I even tried embedding as HTML and using <del>.

:D Yes it's comedy for collectors but for majority it looks cool for some reason :)

I'd pass on it unless you plan on keeping it and never selling it.
