As long as it's properly maintained; no.

Surely a watch like this deserves usage?

You should have it serviced regularly.

Post a picture when you get a chance. Sounds interesting. Yes it should be serviced every 5 years to remove and replace lubricants and retime as needed.

If the watch is a valuable collectable watch that needs to be preserved - it's kind of wrong, because it will irreversably wear. If it's a more popular watch, it's Perfectu fine. The decision is always the owners' but I'd not wear a historically important piece on daily basis. For an 'ordinary' cylinder watch - wear and enjoy :) !
    Have a great day!!!

This is kind of the same question as whether you should use a vintage/collectible car. It was built to be used and I can sort of sympathise with the decision to use even an "unique" vehicle. If you enjoy doing it, even though you realise that everything will eventually come to an end some day, go ahead I'd say.

Can’t see why not, even the most difficult to source parts can be made to order no? I would say yes if you can afford the parts should it need any.
