WWII IWC SCHAFFHAUSEN LACO AVIATOR Verification?

Still very new to vintage watches. I'm especially interested in WWII era watches. Does this IWC look like a good buy? There are plenty of good pictures of the case and the movement. In doing some research on the Laco Aviator, there are just so many different looks it's hard to tell whether this is legit or not.

    thanks,!

Read carefully; the seller is "honest" about what this watch is, but that "honesty" is buried deep in meaningless babble, so you can be forgiven for not realizing what this actually is. Which, a turn of the century (1901-1905) pocket watch that was converted to a wristwatch (probably last year, or earlier this year). It has as much WWII provenance as I do.

Looking at the destination : Ukraine...
If you are new as you've mentioned into the vintage timepieces, be cautious for Ukraine, South American countries and India. Not all watches surfacing from there are frankenized of course but the majority is.

That IWC is nowhere legit in terms of:

    - The pin set movement belongs to an earlier era pocket watch, not into that after made wrist watch case,
    - The dial has been customized or created, even not re-dialled. Doesn't matter what the seller describes as for why it has been re-cased, it's simply wrong...

    Run away....

Those ' Beobachtungsuhr ' style Laco, A.Lange & Sohne, Hanhart WW II watches, if original stretch up to $12,000. Junghans has some more reasonable prices in that category. There are also many tributes to those watches with modern movements, until you educate yourself for a real vintage gem you might want to cool yourself down with one of them.Otherwise you will burn your bucks just for an expensive experience, just saying.

    Hi there,

when reading the header, my first thought was: WWI + IWC + Laco = Ukraine.
They must actually have huge factories there to produce als this trash.
