    Zenith pocket watch - 177P calibre - between 1943 and 1950?

    Hello,

some weeks ago I found a 01.0210.380 Zenith watch in my memory box and I got helpfull informations in this forum (thanks to Hartmut Richter). When I mentioned it to my mother, she put another watch - a pocket watch - on the table and its from Zenith, too (we are not sure, if its from my father or my grandfather; probably from my grandfahter). I found not exactly the same pocket watch on google, but a similar one, what is sold fr 125 Euro on ebay. I dont want to sell it, but to get some more informations about it; if its a special case, which material they used (there is no silver-number engraved) etc..

As you see on the inner part of the watch, its the serial number 3823608, so after some recherche of my brother the 4 million mark in this forum was reached around 1950, and the 3 million mark around 1930.

Whats your impressions or have you some interesting informations for me?

Nice watch! Zenith passed the 4 million mark in 1952 and according to the serial number lists, this one should be from 1950. Your version of that movement was made from 1944-1952, thereafter, it was succeeded by the Incabloc versions. Sempervivens may be able to confirm that age assessment on the basis of the case serial number.

The marking inside the caseback states "Metal Chrome", so it's a base metal case, not silver.

A nice looking case, though, and in good condition.

Thanks. I am no expert, but from my point of view it looks amazing, too.
