    Can anyone identify this?

    Hi all,

Came across the following watch, but I can't seem to find it anywhere else. Anyone know what it is?

    Thanks.

It looks a lot like the early quartz dive watches Breitling offered in the mid 1980's. The fact it's an automatic and has a dial I haven't seen before makes me wonder if it's legit or not. If you can get a pic of the back it might clear that up.

It seems these are from the 60s? I can't find any open caseback pics, but was there is a shot of the caseback. Also found a no-date version. Simply just a submariner? The date version is from a sold listing on Rakuten, and the no-date version pic is from breitling-museum dot com / 60s. I am unable to post links because I don't have enough posts.Name: img66545581.jpg

    Re: Can anyone identify this?

My thinking is it's a fake. Now there are a few limited edition pieces that came out in the 1980's that I've only seen one or two of since Schneider was trying to come up with a marketing plan and was testing different creations. Breitling never had a Submariner model since their nautical them was primarily Superocean models. If it was from the 1960's there would be a serial number somewhere (usually inside the case back) which would determine the date of manufacture. Using Breitling-museum.com as a reference isn't a good idea as he posts many fakes which he picks up off the internet and doesn't seem concerned about it thus no credibility. I'd let this one go.

Ok, bummer. Looks pretty cool. Actually just noticed the slight difference in case shape between the two.

    Thanks for the help all.
