    Georges Kern on Instagram:

"BASEL WORLD NEW PRODUCTS PREVIEW. And here comes the new Super Ocean! A dynamic sports watch for the air and the sea. Available in 48, 46, 44,42 and 36mm. A couple of new patented technical features will be explained over the next weeks. Super cool design with simplified graphics which proves that big sports watches can have style (please swipe). I am totally in love with these pieces! "

Hahaha those sizes! I can't. While everyone else is releasing vintage inspired pieces, Breitling goes, "let's release a new lineup with nothing between 36 and 42mm, but multiple sizes larger than 42mm."

No date version looks slick. Those sizes though...it’s out of step with market conditions and is going to be a cluttered product line.

I like them. I'm curious what the bezel architecture will be (rubber vs. ceramic vs. something else).

Was not expecting this direction at all. I don't know how to feel about them.

Damn! I love the all blue version without the hour numbers... Now I’ll have to agonize between that (SO III?) and the SOH II for my next Breitling purchase.

I asked Georges Kern on that same Instagram post if Breitling will be bringing back the winged logo across other watches as well and he confirmed.

I don't understand what's going on with the logo. On Instagram Kern said something about putting the 'B' logo on elegant watches, and the 'wings' logo on sports watches. Yet the Navitimer 1 and Navitimer 8 collection are sports watches and now use the 'B' logo. I wish they'd just pick a logo and stick to it.

The new SuperOcean line looks great, I like the one with the 6-9-12 dial. The sizes seem good, I can see the 42 being the most popular. 48 and 46 will appeal to the 'modern Breitling fan' who likes the over sized watches of recent years, the 42 will be the staple size, while I suspect the 36 will largely be a ladies size. It's a shame there isn't a unisex 38-40mm option

I'm intrigued by these. My first Breitling was a Superocean and I've always had a soft spot for them.

I *really* hope the bracelet has a micro-adjust clasp. The competition is getting ahead of Breitling in that regard, and it'd be a missed opportunity if Breitling didn't include one.
    Cheers,
    Greg
