Purchased a Brietling Colt Quartz Today

I purchased a Brietling Colt Quartz-blue face with blue rubber strap. I payed $2,100 Canadian Dollars for it, at a reputable jewlery store in Edmonton, Alberta Canada. Does anyone know if this is a good deal, and does the battery really last 8 years as indicated, and also does the accuracy of the thermo calibre really within 10 seconds per year?

    Enjoy your watch.
The SQ is supposed to be extremly accurate and within the range you were told.

If your watch is a A73380 model, then the accuracy is + or - 15 seconds per year. This model has the Superquartz movement. The battery life is dependent on how often you use the chronometer, if it has one. Minimum battery life expectancy before replacement is 5 years. I'm not sure, but I think its lithium.

CA$2100 sounds a reasonable deal. Did you push for a free cap?

I had a Colt Chrono Quartz (SQ) that tested -9 seconds over 1 full year. That price sounds pretty decent to me. You have a great watch!

I love mine as well, although mine is a bit dated (1991 to be exact!) I recently put a Di-Modell Shark strap on it. The strap looks great & is really comfortable.
