Re: Anonimo 2013 Collection ( still renderings )

Nelson, i just posted a comment on the earlier thread.

I'm so disappointed. These look like modernist Longines, Jean Richard, etc - with little to no Florentine military DNA or soul. It's awful to see that the new owners ignored or chose to move away from the rich Italian style (historic) Anonimo possessed - beyond casework. They clearly decided to improve the quality of the dials, but lost most of Anonimo's key design reference points.

Improved quality is of course a good thing, but in so doing, the new owners destruction of the brands rich DNA is a travesty on many levels. No Dino Zei? No Professionale?!!! And the branding, corporate identity is now a mess. The brochure is surprisingly tacky and weak.

How could the last owners/management let it get to this point?!!!

All is money... Previous group know more or they where smart because little changes but still finally the same feeling.

Now we are looking at renderings, again they start making this models... Im waiting for Eric and Rob pics also from the guy here.

They going to learn bad about this collection because is simple if ppl dont like them ppl dont buy them is just mathematics so they need after to pay attention of what is the Anono Concept and Heritage.

We need to wait and see.

A big question is will they continue to service the old line? Maybe someone can clarify for us during their meetings.

Alas! I'd only just discovered Anonimo and was becoming fascinated with their watches. There is nothing special about the looks of these offerings at all.

If I was casually glancing at any of the models in passing or a magazine...I would do just that, pass by. Generic mediocrity. I'm sorry, even the dual time does not hold up remotely to the prior version which when looked at closely has some beautiful detailing on the dial.

The 'catalogue' is an embarrassment. It looks like some small town Hicksville newspaper put an ad together for the high street jeweler.

Dropping the Dino Zei and the Professionale? I am going to hold further thoughts.

It'll be really interesting to hear what Korneevy finds at the Anonimo stand...but I have a feeling I could be done with the 'new' Anonimo

Re: This collection can be summed up in 1 word:

It's funny... Before : Italian Cases, Swiss Dials and Swiss Movements... Now: Italian Cases, Swiss Dials and Swiss Movements.

So, the ugly thing to me is the fonts and layout on dials... But really like the Dual Time... as well I like the San Marco and for many ppl is too busy hahahaha

Now what they relese today it's some i think no one really knows.

Wait to read the press release... but the catalog if is not like High Street Jeweler magazine at least exist... intention counts.

Let's see what is coming and what they have to say.

Have to see what the price point is going to be. If they were between 1-2k.. they are nice watches and will probably attract a different customer base. If the price point remains as before the new designs are not going to cut it.
