    Anonimo and servicing of watches

As said in another thread I am looking to buy a second hand Anonimo. In some ads sellers mention how some watches have been recently serviced. Do these watches require regular maintenance to keep them running or does this mean that a there might have problems with that particular watch?

All mechanical or automatic watches should get regular service. In theory this does in fact mean that the watched went through routine maintenance. Make sure you ask the follow-up questions just to make sure that this is truly the case.

Yes, I've sent a few watches in for service which is the responsible thing to do after you own a mechanical or automatic watch for a while. Or, you can also send it in if you have problems...

Service interval depends largely on usage. Generally, more use = more wear and tear. Normal use though, 5 years interval would be best.

How is their service? Does the watch come back in perfect condition.....no added scratches or marks in rear cover? Should the watch be shipped in its orginal box?
