    Dino Zei straps questions

    Hey all.

    Was wondering:

    - if all Dino Zei models take the same straps

    - and if so, if anyone happened to have the measurements handy

Thinking of having a strap custom made for my Narvalo.

    Thanks in advance.

All Dino Zei's take same strap the only exeption is the San Marco.

I never measure the DIno Zei straps but for sure ****12mm wide section at the lug screws, flairs to 26mm wide at the case and tapers to 24mm at the buckle**** SOURCE : STEW77

Custom straps are always a good option but nothing like the OEM KODIAK.

I can vouch for the fact that Nelson is right with these dimensions!

I've been thinking about getting something custom made too...

    Re: Dino Zei straps questions

The missing but very important bit of info here is the length of the 12mm tongue. I have had a few straps made, and have used between 4mm (tight) to 6mm (loose)--with 5mm just about right. Also, I would NOT flare/taper the straps to 24mm at the buckle end--keep them 26mm all the way--makes for a very cool strap. The OEM DZ strap, at tongue length, is just a bit loose. mostly because the thickness of the strap is pretty thin compared to the aftermarket straps I like to have made. You can check my thread (which focuses on bronze buckles) for examples of custom made straps for the DZ and other bronze Anonimos.

Very nice input timefleas!!! I agree...the length of the 12mm tongue portion is critical to how the strap will mate with the watch case. I will keep that in mind noting that the stock strap is rather thin compared to the aftermarket straps that are out there (...and for Anonimo, Rich at Toshi continues to be my absolute favorite!).

Thanks for the link to your Bronze buckle information...awesome stuff!!!

stew and timefleas - thanks so much for the feedback! Just noticed my existing strap tapers - never would've noticed if not for this thread.
