Do/did Cronoscopios come in a "shiny" case?

    Hey all.

I recently purchased a Cronoscopio on ebay. (I have a post in the Public Forum regarding my "impulse" buy and corresponding angst.)

True to the pic on ebay, the case has a high polish.

Looking at other photos of Cronoscopios online, in most cases the case is sandblasted. (I saw only one other example of a high polish Mod 2005 Cronoscopio photo (plus, it looks like the Mark II Cronoscopio has a "shiny" version).

I suppose there are 3 scenarios:

1 - Yes the Cronoscopio Mod 2005 did come in a polished version, but it is rare or the people who buy them tend to not take photos of them

2 - No, the previous owner had the watch polished, essentially altering the case from sand blasted to shiny

3 - No, and perhaps I'm not wearing an Anonimo at all

Very curious to know people's thoughts.

To be clear, I knew the watch was "shiny" when I bought it and I love the way it looks. But understanding the back story would be helpful.

    Thanks in advance.

can you post a picture? Anonimo did have a "Shiny" version that came out 2009 (I believe the year is correct) but can't answer unless I see a photo.

The Shiny release was on 2008, see old post:

Hey guys - I'll post a pic tonight or tomorrow when I'm home.

Watch is not a Mark II. If that's the only shiny Cronoscopio, than either the owner shinied it (no biggie), or it is a franken or fake (that's lame.)

Interested in getting feedback once I get the pix up.

Re: Do/did Cronoscopios come in a "shiny" case?

Hey guys. Here are some photos of the watch in question.

Sorry for the grainy photos, will try again when there's sunlight.

Is it a real Cronoscopio, just with the case re-done to a high polish? Or perhaps something more nefarious? Feedback is welcome.

The good thing is you don't need to worry, that is a gen as per the one below.

The replicas are quite obvious as their dial and case is oversized, thereby you can see more of each of the numbers.

As for the case, it could be two ways, either the owner polished it, or Anonimo slipped out with a polished case version, and considering how "random" some of the pairings are that we've found just on here, I would be betting on the latter :)
