    Fake watches?

Based on my wtb ad here I received one answer, while looking at his history here it was just two posts and his name was also on Rolex forums, similar story there. Are there any ways to tell a replica from the real deal.

I'm looking at the Anonimo millemetri model.

    Re: Fake watches?

I have seen fakes available, but never up close images. Post up some pics and we should be able to help.

    Re: Fake watches?

I don't believe a fake has ever been shown to exist for Anonimo here on this forum at least. Most historic models were produced in very limited runs, of 200 or 300 each, and as such, did not lend themselves well to the replica market--there isn't enough market for them to begin with--even fakes do require substantial investment in machining, parts, etc,--so you will see very few, except for the most common models, such as the Mille, if at all. As noted, though, show us pictures.

    Re: Fake watches?

My definition of mint is different, I see scratches on the bezel at 2, 5-6 o'clock and the t-bar screw (maybe caused by strap change), other than that I think it is the real thing.
    Kind regards

As above, looks gen, but mint to me means as new, sadly this is often not the case with watches advertised as mint.

It is authentic, in "excellent" shape--selling these days anywhere from $800 to $1200--less if you're lucky.

    Re: Fake watches?

Thanks for the answers, asking price was 1100 which I find rather high given the overall shape. I also felt worried about the fact that it is a new member with very few posts so I think I will pass on this one. If you see anyone don't hesitate to tell me

Yep, real but not mint. Still may be worth pursuing, just offer him less :)
