    Florence, we have a problem........

    Hello all

I received my Cronoscopio and read the booklet, set the time and day/date as instructed

I notice now that the day changes at midnight as expected.

However, the date doesnt change until 17.30PM of the same day????

    Any ideas please?

Otherwise an excellent item (if this gets sorted then Wayfarer II in drass with cream is next on list)

    Thanks in advance

Sounds like an issue w/ the date either being previously changed, or changed accidentally between 8pm & 3am while being set. With most ETA's & other movements this can happen if the quickset date gets changed between 8pm- 3am.

If you do it only once, boom! Your quickset date will start changing at wierd times. I sure hope it didn't arrive in that condition. Either way, I've been there & feel your pain. I did it with mine and immediately went "Duoh!!!". One time is all it took!

Sorry about that. On a lighter note, if it arrived like that you have a good case for getting a replacement if you bought it from an AD. If you bought from a private seller, Stoll & Co. can fix it for you. They had a turnaround time of less than 30 days for both Nimo's I sent to them.

    Jay

    Thanks for the (only) reply

I bought it outside an AD so its a trip to the watchmakers i am afraid

It is annoying to say the least (considering i followed the booklet instructions as well)

I said a lot more than 'Duoh' when it happened haha (got to laugh i suppose)

I live in England so have been given details of a good outlet over here and will make contact

Still on the lookout for the wayfarer

    Thanks again

I only found out about the whole "safe zone" thing a few years ago myself. Prior to that, I would change the date at any time. Luckily nothing happened but this is a major thing which should be explained more in detail. At that time, it wasn't even mentioned in the manual but rather pointed out by the sales lady.

I totally agree. I owned and wore several automatics before I found out as well.

Well gentlemen i will be getting her back at the weekend after minor surgery at the watchmakers

New disc and some cogs and stuff and she is as good as new (which she was when i first got her??)

A £85 bill on an item i have only worn for less than 2 days is the price i paid for actually following the instructions to the letter (and still broke)

    Still, mustn't grumble
