    Help!

My fellow 'nimo owners, is it true that the current company doesn't provide any more after sales support for old models?

I've got a D-Date, which unfortunately, has an issue with the crown and/or crown stem. Think I might have stripped the crown . As there's no more AD in Singapore, a local shop has given me 2 options:

    1) Email Anonimo themselves to see if they'll sell me a spare crown and crown stem and the shop will fix it for me, charging me for labour.
    2) The shop can use OEM replacement parts but there will be issues like the crown not being signed.

Obviously my preference is Option 1 but from what I've been reading, it seems it won't be able to happen. Is this true?

    Cheers

Option 1 has long not been an option. You are lucky to have a dealer who has parts--get your watch fixed now (using option 2)!! The issue of an unsigned but perfectly functioning crown shouldn't be an issue at all in these dire times of present day Anonimo.

    Re: Help!

While I in general agree with Eric, there are a couple of things that don't really add up.

First, I think the option 3, selling a broken Anonimo, doesn't address the OP's situation--he has only the single Anonimo, at least in his signature, and it is broken--to sell a broken Anonimo would fetch pennies on the dollar--to me, if it can be repaired locally, that would be the best solution.

The other issue, again, option 3, which is basically "bail on Anonimo" is a ship that to have made much sense, should have sailed long ago. I owned several Anonimo, but right around the time of the floundering of the historic company a couple of years ago (before ownership transfer) I bailed, and made money on the deal. I recently bought my current Pro for less than the original retail price of the Anonimo Pro bracelet--prices have already hit close to bottom--virtually nothing is selling on the bay for over a $1K, and Marlins, Nautilos and Pros are often seen at give away prices, while of course many are still laughingly offered for close to the original retail, month after month, year after year...

I keep seeing Dino Zeis pop on ebay and I'm tempted to make low ball offers but I'm sure the sellers are likely still in the fantasy world of values on those.

    Re: Help!

    Thanks guys.

I'll just proceed with Option 2 and be done with it.

I only have this 1 anonimo and I got pre-owned for what was a pretty good price. I probably wouldn't really take that much of a hit in terms of the absolute loss but I do still like wearing it and I guess I'll keep doing so until it's really unrepairable.

And my wife likes to strap it on from time to time too so that's another reason to just keep it around.

    cheers guys.
