How are the Kodiak Alligator Straps?

Hi guys, I am buying up - if I manage to find them reasonably priced - old stock accessories and wanted to ask those of you who have Kodiak crocs - hows the quality of these straps as compared to calf? Such as:

    - Are they thinner or thicker than calf?
    - What about length?
    - How do they wear - more or less comfortable?

I may be able to grab one for a Millimetri at a decent price but haven't seen any of Millis on crocs, so unsure if the combo will work...if you have a picture or tow, please share.

    thanks in advance

I never heard of Kodiak alligator straps. Last time I talk about kodiak straps I was told they are only in leather because the treatment cannot be reproduced on alligator. Where did you find them? I would love to take a look.

There are 100% croc Kodiak straps out there...here is one to illustrate from a sale thread a while back:

First, a JB disclaimer--no, I do not presently own an Anonimo, there are none in my signature, so my comments are based purely on my experiences with the 15+ Nimos that I have owned in the past....

I was never very impressed with the calf Kodiak straps myself--they always seemed too perfectly cut, too perfectly pressed, too perfectly finished, coming off looking like a factory cut out and press job, and quite expensive at that--always much preferred having some of the custom strap makers make me a strap to order. SO, I wouldn't expect too much from the croc versions either--the one pictured, to me at least, looks particularly unattractive. While I can understand picking up a couple of lug screw sets, hex tools, and so forth, I don't see a need for grabbing too many of their straps--unless you are a tried and true diver, and you actually like to dive with your Kodiak straps.

I really like the Anonimo croco straps. I have one that came on my Drass Gold Mark II and it is very nice, high quality, etc. It is not as thick as the other standard straps, but is thick enough for most. I say grab it while you can.

Oh I see. I would personally go for a bespoke strap instead. There are so many options out there. Haven't tried an alligator strap on the Millemetri either though.
