Re: How you discover Anonimo ?

Well, it was November of 2009 and I was looking at Topper Jewelers ( active customer since 2005 ) for an Omega PO Chrono.

Looking at the website i checked the Customer Gallery and i remember i saw a Polluce Blue dial and on bracelet, automatically i pay attention because i like the design, the construction and something special that i can't explain, i was looking at the pictures and i read many things on the dial but nothing about the brand name.

Later I did a search on google about Polluce and the first link took me to some forum in UK and i saw the Polluce SS/Gold on black leather and since that moment i was so ancious to get one of those, the black dial , the gold bezel polish a very well balanced material on it.

After that I found Watchuseek and the Anonimo section and I learn a lot from the post of the members and enjoying a lot looking at the pictures and been in love with the Anonimist feeling.

So The Polluce SS/Gold was my first piece... then the rest is history the Anonimo BUG take care of me.

Special thanks to Rob Caplan and Ernie Romers who make this happen, the Anonimo section is unique.

I was new to the forums, searching the bay and forums for different watches when I came across the Pro Chrono. I knew that I would have one someday, and it still remains my fav watch. I have always wanted a Hi Dive as well, I can't believe that I havn't crossed paths with one yet, its pretty rare to see them for sale on the Forums.

Re: How you discover Anonimo ?

For me it started about 2 or 3 years ago. I saw it first in a watch mag buyers guide in singapore and I saw some in person there as well. I tried on a Professional gmt but didn't have the funds at the time. Since then I would visit online sites and wait for my desire to keep growing until early this year where I finally decided to get a millemetri at an AD in hk. I plan to add a cronoscopio or a wayfarer or a nice professional if funds will allow it.

To be 100% honest I don't really remember, but I think it may have been looking through a Watch Time magazine and seeing their ad. It may have been some other way, but I think that was what started me looking into the brand.

Re: How you discover Anonimo ?

I first discovered Anonimo in an ad within EVO magazine for the Pro Crono. I thought it looked interesting and thought it would make a nice daily watch, so I looked it up. My initial thought went out the window when I discovered the price! The infatuation had begun though, and I started looking through this forum and falling more and more in love with their designs. It took me about 18 months to get my hands on a Millemetri, and it has snowballed from there. Anonimo is my favourite watchmaker by a fair margin and I don't see my desire for them waning anytime soon. It's an added bonus that this forum is full of very helpful and knowlegeable enthusiasts - an all around winner in my opinion.

I bought an AMG Mercedes. I wanted a watch to go with it. I searched on Ebay and there were tons of the hidious IWC AMG watch.
There was one Anonimo AMG Chronoscopio. I instantly fell in love with it and bought it. That was back in 2004/2005.
4 Anonimos later and still going strong. I have bought and sold many watches in that time. I still have all my Anonimos!!!!

Re: How you discover Anonimo ?

I came upon WUS a couple of years ago and would spend evenings running through the "Longest Wrist Check Thread Ever" thread to learn about watches and brands. One day I came upon post 3621 - a black Millemetri. I was intrigued by the unique case, but I couldn't tell what brand it was. I tried to do research online to determine the watch, but no luck. Then I stumbled upon the WUS Anonimo Forum and was of course psyched to discover that was the brand.

Re: How you discover Anonimo ?

For me it started with my primary Anonimo AD and with my love of Panerai. As a dedicated Panerai collector, my first Anonimo AD (from whom I long purchased other 'althernative' brands for quite some time), recommended that I take a close look at Anonimo. What got me was he said, "You really don't want to seriously dive with most Panerais today, but you can with Anonimos." And he is a highly experienced master-level diver.

i'm no diver, but that did it for me. So after researching the brand, I decided that my first Anonimo would be the San Marco. That was almost 3 years ago and I've been absolutely hooked every since. I now have 10 Anonimos in my collection!
