I received my Anonimo Militare Automatico today and I was so excited that I wasn't paying attention when setting the time and accidentally turned it the wrong direction (I was wearing my Seiko today and those set by winding the crown opposite of my Swiss movement watches). Lo' and behold I noticed I was turning it backwards (only turned it backwards for 5-10 minutes) and started turning it in the correct direction. The hands now slip while trying to set the time and the crown unscrews!
This is a first for me out of all of my watches. Did I just make a huge mistake or is this fixable?
EDIT: Pictures of what it looks like when I screw off the crown below. Note that I can simply just screw it back and from what I found in doing research, it looks like other brands (like Rolex) have this problem and I either need some pin vise and/or loctite. I'll report back once it is in the hands of my watchmaker!
