New Anonimo, and Question (how to remove Polluce bezel?)

Just got this Polluce in a trade the other day. My second Anonimo in fairly short order. Just a sucker for the brand for whatever reason. Put it on the shark mesh immediately since I'm no great fan of straps (even if they're Kodiak).

Anyway, I also planned immediately to send the watch off and have the case redone in a flat beadblast and the bezel high polished to match the controls. I think that would really take it over the top and since the warranty is out anyway there's nothing stopping me. Issue is, Anonimo loves to use this 3 piece case design with front loading movement/dial. With my Militare, I just assumed that the bezel screwed off with some sort of socket that fit in the bezel's toothed edge. However, the Polluce is built the same way, but the bezel is smooth. So...what's the deal here? I've seen a Polluce disassembled but I don't know how it gets that way. This is obviously a necessary step for the modding to happen so just wondering if anyone out there knows how this is done.
Dear WIS, I have seen your watch addiction affect your life negatively in the following ways...

SOrry for the delay but Im with back pain...horrible.

Well is nothing special my friend have a professional tool to remove casebacks with a piece of rubber and presure thast it.

Now think that is a watchmaker and he have all the tools you can imagine and is a huge tool capable to remove casebacks and bezels like the Anonimo timepieces and many others via pins, suction dies, etc.

His tool looks pretty similar like this one: ***** With Anonimo he use the Suction dies looks like a metal piece with the red rubber on top *****

Thought I'd revive this thread because I'm looking for a cheaper alternative for unscrewing the bezel. My watchmaker here doesn't have that tool and I'm not about to spend $1000 for a tool I'll use once every few years.

    Any ideas?

I'm guessing the bezel is held on place by a teflon ring that has been placed over the crystal (like the bezels on panerai watches)..Bezel then is pressed over the teflon ring witch holds it in place.. I think if you were to press out the crystal the bezel will loose it's grip as there is no interaction anymore between bezel, teflon outer ring and crystal...
    Best regards,
    Guillermo

Boy that sounds very different to what Nelson described.

    Pfft. Whatever.

Like this guy even gives a crap. This post is from over a year & a half ago. It's probably been beadblasted and had a dial change since then.

    My apologies for the negativity.

    Haha

Well anyway I saw pics online of the bezel/case and it is indeed screwed on. Was able to open the caseback with a ball opener but it didn't work for the front.

I saw my watchmaker remove my bezel. It screws and he used a large press with rubber contact area and pressure to just screw it off

It was my bronze Millemetri and was terrified for my patina as I though he might have to pry it open with something like a knife. This worked Great and patina still in place.

Right. That's like the opener Nelson mentioned.

Well, I did see that Horotec sells the dies individually and they have this hand attachment so you have something to grip it with. Might not be as stable as the whole rig but I'll give it a shot.
