    New strap

I got a new custom strap for my Marinai d' Italia but I'm not really happy with the look..It's a tan strap with blue stitching. I'm thinking this strap maybe too light..

Sorry not the best of photos...

    Re: New strap

Personally I'd go with a darker combo as tan is not really my thing, but I must say it suits the watch fine. Though as Nelson has mentioned, the Marinai looks especially good on the bracelet. Pity about the cost!

    Re: New strap

The strap is way too light for me (I like light straps on some dark dial watches, but not this one). I owned a Sailor once upon a time, and tried lots of combinations--to me. it looks best on a bracelet or a black with blue stitching strap.

this works better, imho, for it 'flows' with the black dial and the blue stitching highlights the insignia at 12h -- which i think is what you were trying to achieve with the tan with blue stitching. again, my humble opinion.

    beautiful watch btw..

I stand by your choice. It is a nice and stark contrast. Great for the summer, and for places where it is always summer.
