The good news is I can now say that we have received our first successful shipment of Anonimo watches purchased directly from Italy. While it took a little bit of time to sort out the procedures, I feel like we’ve now hit a nice groove dealing directly with the Italian Company. Over the last month, I have been repeatedly asked the questions below and hope that sharing them on this board will be useful.
1. "If I want to order a watch that is currently in inventory at Firenze Orologi Srl. in Italy, how long will it take to find out if they have it in stock? Do they have a lot of inventory?"
While a couple of inquiries have taken a few days to get the answer and exact availability, in almost all instances, we have found out within 24 hours. As to their inventory, we've found that they have more available than we initially expected. This has held true for basic pieces like a Millimetri Black Dial, Militaire2010 , and more special pieces like a blue waffle dial Professionale Chronograph or Dino Zei Glauco with a burgundy dial.
2. If I order a watch from Italy that is in stock at Firenze Orologi Srl how long will it take to arrive to the U.S. dealer?
While the logistics can take a few days to sort out, our first shipment cleared customs and arrived four days after the order was finalized.
3. When will the new 2009 models be available?
The most up to date information we have is that the first batch of production will begin shipping in June 2009. We have been told that the first batch of production will consist of 50 Chronoscopio Drass, 50 Polluce Magnum, and 50 Polluce Corsaro watches. I am not sure exactly what the total production run will be of each of the new pieces. We have ordered each of the new watches (especially heavy in Magnum and Mark II) and are taking pre-orders.
4. When are you going to put high resolution pictures of the 2009 models on your site?
We put them up yesterday. You can see high resolution images of the new models at the following link: http://www.topperjewelers.com/watches/anonimo/new2009
*We are certainly not the first to post these pictures, but I haven't seen them together elsewhere yet in this resolution.
5. How does Mr. Massacesi Sound?
I've talked to him several times and I would consistently describe him as energetic, optimistic, and committed.
I hope this is helpful. If anyone has any questions don't hesitate to call or email us.
