Anonimists, Today morning on Facebook appeared a wristshot of Dual time prototype watch from the new ownership. This cause many reactions, I ask the guy who post the picture if he can give me some details about it, he never reply back. But after a couple of minutes i got some information that Anonimo called some Journalists to present his watches. Until now even those journalists don't post anything about it. The watch looks weird besides the dial the case looks weird too woth a PVD like coated for sure no Drass grey or black. After that, we see also on Facebook a Militare Bronze and just with that picture any Anonimist can see that the case is not manufactured on the Anonimo Firenze Spa. But the sad of all this was that they try to reborn again in Florence... Why? Now is not anymore an Italian brand nor Italian Heritage they are based now on Switzerland and they took all from Florence like parts and some cases. Again wy they try to do that... Who knows but in my opinion is so unrespectful. Sent from my iPhone using Forum Runner

Time to focus on the true and (probably) last Italian brand: Ennebi.

The idea of linking one's brand to an original place without having any practical ties to it is nothing new:

Panerai hasn't produced a single watch part out of Florence since 20 years ago, yet slaps "Firenze" on anything and everything brand-related...they probably get away with it by maintaining a registration in Italy which is nothing but a shell and while everyone knows this is all just a sham, I dont see many people objecting. My suspicion is that Luxembourg cum Dutch cum Swiss gang of the new owners are trying to get onto same bandwagon, while having these Chinese-made cases assembled with el-cheapo movements in Switzerland... Sure, they will try to pass on these monstrosities as Italian heritage+Swiss quality bungle but gee...just look at these things! They scream cheap and tasteless...so good luck to them with this.

The new models are not attractive but I don't think they are as bad as "monstrosities"... on second thought they do look a little frankenstein-ish,

    They're awful and a travesty for what they claim. A B O N I M O these are!

At least Panerai does still own its original, historic shop in Firenze and maintains its design studio in Milan (from what I last understood).
