San Marco - DRASS or W-OX?

Hi San Marco owners, which case finishing do you have?

I like both Drass & W-OX finishings but prefer the old dial design. "Handcrafted in Firenze" on the Drass seems too much for the already busy dial. I remember the San Marco come with a special badge, is it still available?

I unfortunately do not have a San Marco.

But, I have to admit I heart Drass and think the new dial is awesome. The old dial was busy and so is the new one. I don't see what all the hoo-haw is about the slight new additions to the new dial. I also like the coffee black tint.

However, Drass is where it's at!

I had a chance to compare the old and new San Marco's side by side and opted to buy the new ever so slightly busier "chocolate" colored dial. As for the special badge, I think you are referring to the ~9" plaque that came with the first ~50 San Marcos, it is no longer included.

I haven't had the pleasure of viewing the new Drass model in the metal but definitely agree about busying up the dial a bit much. I have the original Ox-Pro model and absolutely love it. I also have the Nemo set and one is the black PVD, one day I'd like to send her off and have it redone in Ox-Pro by the factory if possible. The Ox-Pro has a certain glisten to it in the sun as well, just a great finish.

In Singapore, the Retail Price for San Marco W-PRO is S$12,840 while the San Marco DRASS is S$13,600.

What is the justification for this price difference? Is DRASS process more expensive than W-PRO?

TO me seems because of the New model ( busy dial ) about the tratment for them i don't think so OxPRO less valuable compared to DRASS, only think I read is with time the discoloration is more in OxPro.

But I like a lot the First San Marco OxPro because of the color looks black compared to the DRASS looks Grey.

The Drass process requires more work because it adds some coatings to the Ox-Pro finishing. As this process is entirely done by hands, some price difference is justified by extra costs.
